Sat. 07/10/2010 - A Saturday In Blooklyn

As a routine for any Saturday, I went to the flea market in Brooklyn. Today was the best market, many more vendors and food stands plus so many people. By now, I think Brooklyn Saturday Flea Market is the best flea market among all fleas in New York. They have the best prices, the best merchandise, and the best food. Vendors are much younger, relaxed and very friendly. Booths are more organized and clean, so nothing looks junk there. And they give you good discount. I bought silver plated flatware, 30 of them -amazingly I made a full set with all different ones- paying only $15. In Garage, it's the price for one. And today I was really in "Buying" mod, so I couldn't take many pictures. There were so many thing I want, and actually bought quite stuff with very very good prices. Now, I have to sell some things that I have...

I also had lunch with Katrina - she lives in Fort Green, and she could make it today-, and also visited her place. It's always nice to see her and and talk to her. And her place, I really liked it. I kind of wanted to take pictures of her place, but I was not so sure whether she would be okay to be exposed...next time, I may ask her...Oh, I may have to ask a couple of people whether I can take pictures of their places and I can make my own book about "Friends Home in New York"

I really like the area, for different reason for why I like Williamsburg.

I knew there would be "Porchetta" stand there today, so I already decided what to eat even before I went there. I was the first customer getting the first sandwich from the very first cut as soon as they opened.

This guy had so many of owls...and I love owls. It was very hard to decide which ones to get, and I got two of them.

He also had nice collections of glass jars and vases. And really nice gilt wood mirror which was only $30. (You just had to glue some parts...)

Every vendors were so good at making their merchandise look nice displaying them in this neat way.

Hmmm...I think next time I should bring my regular camera. It's going to be easy to take pictures with a small camera. And unless I manually focus, the shots are about the same.
