Greenwich Village is largely upper middle class residential area with severals of very important schools of NY (like NYU, and The New School), but once it was a heart of bohemian culture, and house of artists, focal point of new movements and ideas. Since 60s, most of artists moved to SoHo, DUMBO, TriBeCa or Williamsburg, because of high housing cost around area. Nowadays it is becoming a home of many celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker.

This is a tiny 2-story café run by Japanese. I used to come here a lot for lunch. Japanese developed their own way to bake and their pastry suits better for Korean who prefers less sweeter pastries. I still think this is one of the best cafés in the city. Too bad my picture doesn't look like anything but this guy's portrait.

A small Korean restaurant that opened after I left school. I wish it was there while I was still in school, then I would come here everyday.

{The New School}
The building was designed by Joseph Urban in 1930, and is one of the earliest examples of Modern architecture of the city. There was a construction going on now, but those steel beams looked almost like an installation art.
