Mon. 06/07/2010 - Eat

I found this little Belgium waffle place, Petite Abeille Waffle Cafe. The place was very cute with an open kitchen filled with hanging fry pans and saucers, blue and white checker table cloth, and Tintin posters. The British accent owner gave me the excellent service as well. It's a great place for breakfast!

I think he is the owner...but can be a manager of this location. (It has 3 more locations in the city). Anyway, he himself was enjoying his morning coffee.

I can't believe I ate this whip cream! I think I consumed whole day's calories need with this one single breakfast. But I couldn't stop. It was delicious!

West Village is packed with restaurants and cafes of any style of cuisine, American, French, Italian, Mediterranean, Mexican, Brazilian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, even Korean. So, for lunch I had to be very strategic. I had Belgium, so I decided to avoid any European country cuisine, even though there were several very tempting French and Italian ones. Asian ones, I could have better ones in different areas. There was this Brazilian one on Carmine Street that I wanted to try, but I couldn't really feel Brazil from the restaurant. Having decided to eat anything from South America, I had Tacos for my lunch at Cabrito.

(BTW, sorry for this guy sitting on the bench...I captured him with his eyes closed)

Today was not so hot, and I didn't eat "The Heat" this time...so I needed a light dinner/snack as well. I got a small bread called "Bacon" here.
