Sat. 06/12/2010 - Union Square Greenmarket

After Hell's Kitchen Flea Market, I headed to Union Square Greenmarket (aka. Union Square Farmer's Market). Everything here is home-made /grown organically or at least naturally and fresh from local farmers, bakers, or harvesters (and you can meet them there!). Greenmarket opens 4 days a week, Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat year round. I didn't buy much of grocery there today, because these days I always eat out (since I am out on the street every day). But I had some bread, tea, and yogurt for my lunch and bought two bunches of peonies for $10 + lots of picture!

{Flowers and Plants}
These bouquets and wreaths were from a harvester in Catskill and they were very pretty artfully arranged. I really like them all!

{Fresh Produce}

{Herb Plants}

{Homemade Breads, Pies and Cakes}
The rice cake below was heavenly delicious! Next time I want the Quiche!!!

{Lamb's Wool Yarns and Throws}
Looking at all these yarns, I wanted to restart knitting. And the throws were ultra-soft, not like synthetic ones...

{Meat and Fish}
I didn't take any picture of meat or meat products...but there were cuts and sausages from naturally-fed cows and lambs.

{Jams, Honeys, and Maple Syrups}
and maple candies

{Dairy}

{Wines}

{Popcorn}

{Cut Cedar Tree Trunk}

{Pickles}

{Natural Juices and Ice Tees}
