After flea, I went out to the city to have brunch with my former coworkers/friends Guillaume and Bryan. We went to Café Gitane. Gitane has two locations in NYC, one in Nolita and one at Jane Hotel all the way west side at Jane Street and right before the West Highway. I actually like the one in Nolita better, but since Guillaume lives at Jane Street, we just went to the one at Jane Hotel (but the service is better here). I wanted to have the Rose wine (totally forgot the name, but it was in very pretty bottle and delicious) that I had last time with Kendall, Katrina and Gabi, but it was a little too early to get drunk...
Café Gitane serves French-Moroccan menu. The decor is very cute, and I like its casual feeling. The food is great as well, and my favorite is Couscous. (Just that I will never order Meatball there!) And the waiter, waitress and even busboys have cute uniforms.

And we had...
{Brie and Prosciutto Sandwich with Mixed Green}
{Couscous}
I dropped by Guillaume's place before the brunch. He and his roommate have the most amazing panoramic view. But my camera never takes great pictures of view, since it's only for snap shots...and I took some flowers from their terrace, still with the blurry spot.
Someone's rooftop...
They can pick fresh flowers right from their terrace...
It was soooo nice to see you, Yoosun! We should do that more often.
ReplyDeleteand I can't believe that thanks to you I discovered Café Gitane at Jane Hotel, right around the corner from where I live haha I had no clue.
I love the place and its colonial atmosphere from another era. (I must actually be the only one who likes it better than the original!).
And yes the food was great but next time, we should definitely order the rosé!!!!
(never too early for a good time!)
